About VCTs

VCT was established nearly 25 years ago

The Venture Capital Trusts (VCTs) was established nearly 25 years ago to promote investment into specialised investment companies that are listed on the London Stock Exchange. These small and median-sized enterprises that make up VCTs are very risky, and the government offers considerable tax reliefs as investment incentives.

The Venture Capital Trusts allows small or early-phase businesses to raise considerable investment, while UK investors get:

  • 30% Income Tax Relief
  • Tax-free dividends
  • No Capital Gains Tax
