The British Design Fund seeks to invest in and provide support for UK product design and manufacturing companies. The UK has the second-largest design sector in the world and is one of the largest design industries in Europe.

  • The Fund seeks to leverage the expertise of the team that comprises Twenty20 Mentoring Limited,
    in order to successfully research, identify, invest in and grow early stage UK based companies in the product design and manufacturing sector.
  • Twenty20 Mentoring Limited will act as the Company Mentor to the Investee Companies. The Company Mentor will provide Mentoring Services and other services to the Investee Companies under a mentoring services agreement between the Company Mentor and the Investee Companies.
  • The Fund has an opportunity to access a selection of investment opportunities in the product design and manufacturing sector for the Fund to potentially invest in. It is noted that Damon Bonser, a director of Twenty20 Mentoring Limited, is also currently a mentor to the Design Council Spark programme

Damon Bonser-1Key Individuals - Damon Bonser is a serial entrepreneur with over 15 years’ experience of building and running product design and manufacturing businesses. The CEO, investor and mentor started out in business when he was in his mid-20s, after finishing university. Fast forward to October 2019 and the BDF has invested just under £1m into six companies, with the aim of expanding their portfolio over the coming years.

Damon is supported by a team of experienced investment professionals with backgrounds in venture capital, private equity and entrepreneurship.
