We aim to build strong relationships with the platform businesses, supporting them throughout their journey in order to generate the best possible outcome for the GrowthInvest investors. The platform technology provides the investors on our platform with full transparency on the underlying investments alongside efficient regular reporting at company level.

From our experience at GrowthInvest, the Fund has been designed to consist of three sub-funds, each with a separate investment policy. The first will target Investee Companies which qualify for SEIS Reliefs only. The second will target Investee Companies which qualify for EIS Reliefs only and the third will be a mixed investment policy which will target Investee Companies which qualify for SEIS Reliefs and / or EIS Reliefs. The GrowthInvest Portfolio Service seeks to invest in and provide support for early stage companies. The Fund will be assisted by the Investment Adviser, EIS Platforms Limited (“GrowthInvest”), who are a team with extensive start up experience, and it is this team (headed by Daniel Rodwell) that will identify the Investee Companies. GrowthInvest will also act as the Company Mentor to the Investee Companies, in which the Fund invests. GrowthInvest will also include on its adviser team individuals who have considerable experience in sourcing, evaluating and monitoring early stage companies. Individuals include three external advisers, being Stuart Jeffrey, Mark Brownridge and Graeme Stenson.

Where possible, GrowthInvest will act as a Company Mentor and look to assist Investee Companies with the following types of services:

  • Recruitment of key executives – for example, management teams with a science and product development background will often require a commercial/sales director to take the company to the next stage. GrowthInvest is well placed to recommend candidates with the requisite industry experience and a proven track-record;
  • Strategic management – GrowthInvest can assist Investee Companies with their branding strategy, marketing approach, expanding abroad and developing close working relationships with key customers and suppliers;
  • Corporate development and governance – GrowthInvest can assist Investee Companies to stay on top of their corporate, legal and regulatory compliance obligations and where necessary recommend appropriate legal and finance advisers;
  • Assist with major contracts and transactions;
  • Provide training and development of key managers and directors in each Investee Company;
  • Assist with further fund raisings; and
  • Provide strategic planning and placement to maximise exit timing and value.
