Vasiliki specialises in fund operations and governance, leading Sapphire's investment management,investor relations and compliance functions.

Her focus is the day-to-day running of the funds Sapphire manages, from investment operations through to investor relations and compliance. With over 25 years in finance, private equity and advisory, she has helped build Sapphire from a two-person start-up into a multi-award-winning investment firm supporting fund managers across the UK.

Vasiliki began her career at JPMorgan before joining PwC's M&A due diligence practice in New York. She went on to Goldman Sachs in New York and Tokyo, monitoring the performance of private equity funds, and later returned to PwC in corporate finance advisory.

Vasiliki holds the CFA UK Investment Management Certificate and the EIS Association Diploma. A graduate of New York University's Stern School of Business, she completed an Executive MBA at Cambridge Judge Business School, where her thesis examined how the UK's Enterprise Investment Scheme model could broaden access to venture finance. She was awarded the EISA Rising Star Award in 2016, is a signatory of the HM Treasury Women in Finance Charter, and has written a series of entrepreneurs' guides covering R&D tax credits, business planning and Exempt Property Unit Trusts.

Outside work, her passions are music and books. She has played violin and piano for years and is currently learning Irish traditional music, and she re-reads The Odyssey with each of her children when they turn 12.
