To help you make better decisions, take time to understand both the opportunities and risks of any investment you’re considering. Here are 5 questions to ask before you invest!

The dynamics of the technology market have been transformed over the past decade. The advent of the digital economy has given innovative start-ups the ability to disrupt the way well-established industries operate, with the potential to rapidly undermine entrenched businesses and quickly achieve remarkable valuations.

Velocity Capital Advisors Limited was set up as a vehicle to facilitate participation in exciting, young companies which have technology at the core of their offering. Since its inception, Velocity has been seeking to make investments that offer investors capital appreciation opportunities.

Velocity Technology EIS Fund 6, supports these innovative companies who have the products and ideas to challenge the way a traditional business operates. It is a time of opportunity for the Fund.

EIS tax incentives

The companies the fund invest in are expected to be EIS-qualifying, which makes Velocity EIS Technology Fund 5 EIS suitable for qualifying clients who would potentially benefit from the following tax reliefs:
  • Up to 30% income tax relief
  • Tax-free investment growth
  • Capital gains deferral
  • Inheritance tax relief
  • Loss relief
Please note: EIS tax reliefs are only made available to investors because of the higher risks associated with investing in early-stage companies. Also, the availability of tax reliefs will depend on the investor's individual circumstances, and may be subject to change in the future. In addition, the availability of any tax relief depends on the investee companies maintaining their qualifying status.
