To help you make better decisions, take time to understand both the opportunities and risks of any investment you’re considering. Here are 5 questions to ask before you invest!

The Leela SEIS Fund is centred around the Science of Happiness. This is based on Aristotle’s  philosophical work around ‘Eudaimonia’, which is built around the condition of human flourishing or of living well. This created three core themes:

1. Perform Better: Sports / Athleticism, Injury Prevention and Recovery, Health Education Tech & Personal and Professional Wellbeing.

2. Age Better: Health, Wellness and Longevity, Bio Science & Health Tech, Supplement Innovation  & Chronic Pain and Inflammation.

3. Live Better: Mental Health, Communities and Lifestyle, Neuro Degeneration & Consumer and Media.

The Fund is focused on exceptional founders and companies that have a willingness to
collaborate and are open to building the best business, whist delivering profitable revenue at the earliest opportunity to gather real market data and learning. Leela’s expert advisory board of healthcare and scientific specialists ensure deep knowledge and insight across the sector. We see three trends which together with Leela’s hands-on team makes this area and stage attractive to deliver exceptional returns.

SEIS tax incentives
The companies the fund invest in are expected to be SEIS-qualifying, which makes Fuel Ventures SEIS Fund SEIS suitable for qualifying clients who would potentially benefit from the following tax reliefs:
  • Up to 50% income tax relief
  • Tax-free investment growth
  • 50% capital gains tax exemption
  • Inheritance tax relief
  • Loss relief
Please note: SEIS tax reliefs are only made available to investors because of the higher risks associated with investing in early-stage companies. Also, the availability of tax reliefs will depend on the investor's individual circumstances, and may be subject to change in the future. In addition, the availability of any tax relief depends on the investee companies maintaining their qualifying status.
